Dose Up (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a pharmacy exam preparation platform designed for UK pharmacy students. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. Data we collect
- Account information: name, email address, and password (stored securely via AWS Cognito).
- Usage data: quiz attempts, scores, study progress, and chat conversations with the Study Assistant.
- Technical data: browser type, device information, and IP address for security and analytics purposes.
3. How we use your data
- To provide and personalise the Dose Up learning experience.
- To track your study progress and generate performance analytics.
- To improve our question bank and educational content.
- To communicate with you about your account and service updates.
- To ensure the security and integrity of our platform.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your data based on: (a) your consent when you create an account; (b) the necessity to perform our contract with you (providing the service); and (c) our legitimate interests in improving the platform and ensuring security.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- AWS: cloud infrastructure provider (hosting, authentication, database).
- Anthropic: AI provider for the Study Assistant feature (conversation data is processed but not used for training).
6. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Quiz attempts and chat history are retained to provide analytics. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate personal data.
- Request deletion of your personal data.
- Object to or restrict processing of your data.
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
