What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and understand how you use it.

Analytics and third parties
We never sell your data, and we set no third-party advertising cookies that follow you around other websites. We do, if you allow it, remember which advert or link brought you here and tell the advertising platform when that led to a sign-up — described under Attribution below.
Our analytics tools are treated differently from one another because only some of them touch your device.
Plausible gives us anonymous visitor counts for our public pages. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so it needs no consent and runs even if you decline below. It is served from our own domain and never sees your signed-in pages.
Microsoft Clarity records anonymised page interactions so we can see where the site is confusing. It does set cookies, so it only ever loads after you accept — declining means the script is never run at all. It runs only on our public pages: it is switched off on your signed-in study pages, so your journal, quizzes and chats are never recorded.
Attribution
We advertise, and we would like to know which adverts are worth paying for. If you accept attribution, we store on your device which advert, search or link brought you here — including the click identifier the advertising platform adds to the address — and we keep it with your account if you go on to create one.
When someone who arrived that way starts a trial or buys, we tell the advertising platform that the click led to a sign-up. We send the click identifier and what happened, not your name, your email or anything you do in the app.
This is a separate choice from analytics and you can accept one and decline the other. If you decline, none of it is stored, nothing is sent, and you will see the same site and the same adverts — we simply will not know the two are connected.
International transfers
Some of the providers above, including Microsoft (Clarity) and our advertising platform, are based outside the UK. Where cookie data is processed outside the UK, we protect it using the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.
Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to Dose Up.
